Police officer's flying leap to tackle e-bike rider
CCTV footage has captured the moment a police officer took a flying leap to tackle an e-bike driver after he failed to stop for "numerous high-vis officers".
Neighbourhood police in Peterborough city centre attempted to stop the man as "he rode an e-bike at a high speed" before he was brought to a sudden halt by a uniformed officer alongside his plain-clothed colleague.
Cambridgeshire Police seized the device as it was capable of speeds of up to 23mph (37 km/h) with the legal limit being 15.5mph.
The man has been reported for driving without a licence and not having insurance, as well as failing to stop. The force said investigations into potential further offences were ongoing.
