The African project that could change a continent

Africa's richest man, business leader Aliko Dangote has told the BBC about his plans to build a new oil refinery in Kenya, which he says will have 'a massive impact' and help African countries become energy self-sufficient.

The new plant will serve much of East Africa and Mr Dangote said that work on the site is due to begin by October and should take less than 4 years. In this exclusive interview, Aliko Dangote spoke to Nancy Kacungira near the site of his Lagos refinery in Nigeria.

More of this interview will be broadcast on the BBC News Channel in October.
