Watch: I left my holiday to sing with Ed Sheeran

A music teacher and singer-songwriter said her surprise performance with Ed Sheeran was like "jamming with a mate".

Unaware that Sheeran would make an appearance, Lianne Kaye made an early return from her holiday in Malaga, Spain, after a manufacturer of guitar amplifiers asked if she would like to perform at a gig for upcoming artists.

The 30-year-old, from Chelmsford, began to put the pieces together in the airport, after Sheeran teased on Instagram he would be at the Ipswich waterfront.

Originally from Holbrook in Suffolk, Kaye told BBC Look East: "I love what I do so I'm just really, really lucky I'm able to teach and do music all the time and share my songs and my passion."
