Fire at factory yard brought under control
BBCA fire that broke out at a factory yard has been been brought under control by firefighters.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) was called to Canal Road industrial estate in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, at 15:17 BST to a blaze involving two buildings containing manufacturing waste and pallets.
Residents were urged to keep their windows and doors due closed to "significant smoke plume", while the industrial estate was cordoned off by police.
DWFRS said the cause is yet to be confirmed, but the fire is believed to have started accidentally.
Crews from Trowbridge, Warminster, Devizes, Chippenham, Calne and Pewsey tackled the flames, which were contained to two wooden buildings storing textiles, wood and paper.
The fire service said the blaze was extinguished at around 18:20, with firefighters remaining on the scene to deal with hotspots.
