Police warn public after spate of thefts in Inverness area

Multiple incidents have been reported to police in the past week

Police have warned people to be vigilant of their belongings following a number of thefts and attempted thefts in and around Inverness.

Between last Thursday and Tuesday this week incidents have been reported from the Inverness, Beauly and Loch Ness areas.

Many have happened at tourist accommodation, with quantities of cash, electrical items, and alcohol stolen. Officers also urged people to be mindful of opportunistic thefts where a door has been propped open.

Police Scotland said it is investigating these incidents and inquiries are ongoing to establish any link between the events.
