Teenager denies murdering boy, 15, who was stabbed
Met PoliceA teenager has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a 15-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed in north-east London.
Brayan David Saldarriaga was found with stab wounds in Poplar Close, Hackney, at about 19:15 BST on 25 May.
Police had been called to reports of a large gathering and disorder nearby and Brayan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, denied murder during a hearing at the Old Bailey.
He also pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon, namely a machete.
His co-defendant Conneil Mvudi, 18, from Hackney, was not asked to enter a plea to a charge of murder and possessing an offensive weapon.
The pair, who are in custody, appeared in court via video-link and spoke only to confirm their identity.
They will next appear at court on 29 October.
Their trial was fixed for 1 March 2027.
