Thieves steal 250,000 Red Bull cans in overnight raid
BBCThieves have stolen an estimated 250,000 cans of Red Bull in an overnight raid at an industrial estate.
It happened on Thursday at a logistics company on Capitol Trading Estate in Knowsley Industrial Park, Knowsley, Merseyside.
Twenty-six pallets of the energy drink and "a quantity" of Wrigley's chewing gum were taken, Merseyside Police said.
The force said the stolen stock was worth "tens of thousands" and that it was carrying out a forensic examination and gathering CCTV footage to track down those responsible.
"This high value burglary will clearly have a significant impact on the business with tens of thousands' worth of stock stolen," said Det Insp Steven O'Neil.
"I urge anyone who has information or noticed suspicious vehicles parked in the vicinity to get in touch – any information no matter how small could assist the investigation.
"I would also urge anyone who is approached, including convenience shops, who are offered to buy Red Bull or Wrigley's chewing gum on the black market to please let us know."
