Motorcyclist dies and two seriously hurt in crash

A motorcyclist has died and two people have been seriously hurt in a crash in North Yorkshire involving two motorbikes.

Emergency services were called to the B6255 between Ingleton and Hawes at about 11:45 BST on Saturday.

North Yorkshire Police said the rider of a BMW motorcycle, a man in his 60s from Lancashire, was pronounced dead at the scene while the rider and the passenger of a Honda motorcycle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed for nearly 10 hours. It reopened at 21:30 BST.
