A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Huddersfield last summer which left three men injured.

Police were called to S Autos garage on Bulay Road on 22 July following reports of shots being fired from a black Nissan Juke.

Joe Garrity, 19, of Bain Street, Swinton in Manchester, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder as well as handling stolen goods, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a prohibited weapon and driving whilst disqualified.

He appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court where he was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on 29 May.
