Firefighters tackled a blaze at a restaurant after flames spread through its kitchen and roof.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 14:58 BST on Monday to Judges Restaurant in Northaw.

A total of eight fire engines were sent to the two-storey building, including an aerial ladder platform.

The service said nobody was hurt in the incident and the fire was fully extinguished by 03:00 BST

An investigation into the cause of the fire, which affected the building's kitchen, first floor and roof, is due to take place.

The restaurant has been approached for comment.
