One dead and eight injured in multi-vehicle collision

A man has died and eight others have been injured following a multi-vehicle collision in West Norfolk.

Norfolk Police said the crash happened on the A148, close to the junction with Abbey Road at Hillington, at 15:25 BST on Saturday.

The collision involved a white Volkswagen Golf, a grey Volkswagen Golf, a black BMW 3 series and a grey Nissan Juke.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage prior to the incident to get in touch.

A man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the white Volkswagen Golf, died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 20s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn and a second passenger, a man in his 20s, had minor injuries.

The force said a woman in her 30s who had been driving the grey Nissan Juke also sustained a serious injury, along with a child who was a passenger. Two others in the car - a woman in her 50s and a child - were also left with minor injuries.

The driver of the grey Volkswagen Golf, a woman in her 20s, and the driver of the black BMW, a man in his 60s, both had minor injuries.
