Biker suffers life-threatening injuries in crash
Getty ImagesA motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash with a taxi.
The collision took place on The Stay near the village of Coneysthorpe, near Castle Howard, at about 15:30 BST on Saturday, North Yorkshire Police said.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from North Lincolnshire, was airlifted to hospital.
A police spokesperson said the rider, who was travelling on a white Yamaha bike, had been heading south with another motorcyclist when he collided head-on with a red Toyota Auris heading north.
The force has appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch.
