Man, 61, dies after falling from cliffs in Aberdeenshire

A 61-year-old man has died after falling from cliffs in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened at the Bullers of Buchan, between Cruden Bay and Peterhead, at about 17:30 on Friday.

The beauty spot is popular with people looking at puffins, as well as for its clifftop paths.

Police Scotland said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and next of kin were aware. There did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
