Paramedic injured in crash during emergency call

A paramedic was taken to hospital after being involved in a crash while responding to an emergency call.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the marked Skoda collided with a black Audi A5 on Baldock Road at the junction with Sollershott East in Letchworth Garden City at about 17:45 BST on Tuesday.

The Skoda then hit a tree and its driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with what police described as serious injuries, he has since been discharged.

Sgt Luke Morley urged anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage to get in touch.
