A warning to stay out of the water following a sewage spill has been lifted.

On Tuesday, the Environment Agency issued the advice for the Dartmouth area of Devon after the "pollution incident" at Mayor's Avenue pumping station, operated by South West Water.

In an update on Thursday, Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority said the notice had been lifted with the bathing waters and swim zones open again.

It had previously put warning signs up at swimming areas including Warfleet Creek, Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove following the spill which started at about 21:30 BST on Monday.
