Motorcyclist seriously injured in car collision

A 16-year-old motorcyclist is being treated for life-threatening injuries after a collision with a car.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash involved a red Honda motorcycle and a red Volkswagen Polo car on the B3254 at South Petherwin, near Launceston, Cornwall, at about11:45 BST on Tuesday.

The motorcyclist's next of kin had been told and the car driver was also injured, officers said.

The road was closed until 20:50 and police appealed for any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage to get in contact.
