Louis Tomlinson in Birmingham: What fans need to know

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is set to bring his latest tour to Birmingham this weekend.

The singer will perform at the city's Utilita Arena on Saturday, as part of his How Did We Get Here World Tour in support of his latest album.

The Birmingham show is one of several dates across the country and Tomlinson will also take to the stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland on 23 May.

Here is all you need to know if you're attending the Birmingham concert:

The Utilita's website confirmed there are age limits in place for Tomlinson's concert.

Under 14 year olds with seated tickets must be accompanied in the venue by an adult with a valid ticket, they added.

For fans standing, 14 and 15 year olds are only permitted on the standing floor when accompanied by an adult, with younger children not allowed.

All bags will be searched before entry and rucksacks are not permitted, the venue confirmed.

As per the venue's bag policy, concertgoers can bring a bag but it must be no bigger than A4 size, with a maximum of two compartments.

Doors at the Utilita will open at about 18:00 BST, with the show expected to start at 19:00 BST. The venue has a curfew of 23:00 BST.

Rock band Pale Waves and singer ADMT are both listed as Tomlinson's support acts for the night.

In a post on its website, the Utilita added there was a randomly allocated wristband system in place for standing fans wishing to be the first to gain entry to the arena.

They added the process was for standing ticket holders only and only for the first 1,500 to enter the venue.

Fans can collect their wristbands between 09:00 and 11:00 on the day, before returning to join the queue from 15:00.

"There will be no queuing facilities in place before this time, and early queuing is not permitted," a spokesperson added.

The Utilita Arena, which has a capacity of about 15,800, is on King Edwards Road in the city centre.

The nearest railway stations to the venue are Birmingham New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill.

A number of local buses and trams are also runningto help people get to and from the concert.

For those driving, the Utilita's official car parks include North, South and West, all within a few minutes' walk, with parking booked in advance through the arena's website.

According to Setlist.fm, fans can expect to hear a handful of tracks from Tomlinson's latest album How Did I Get Here? - including Lemonade, Imposter and Sunflowers.

The album, which was released in Januray, made it to number one on the Official UK Albums Chart.

The Doncaster-born singer's earlier shows across Europe appears to feature about 24 songs, with One Direction song No Control also appearing in the set list at some gigs.
