Five arrests after Wolves play Port Vale

Five people have been arrested after disorder at an EFL match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Port Vale.

Four people, aged between 17 and 45, were arrested on suspicion of affray after disorder broke out in the away end during the match at Molineux on Friday.

A fifth person, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress after an inappropriate gesture was made towards a female spectator.

West Midlands Police said all five people were bailed pending further inquiries.

A spokesperson for the force added: "Our investigation is continuing and we would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened and could help with our inquiries.

"Scenes like this are completely unacceptable at football matches and we will continue to work with clubs and the EFL to take strong action against this type of offending."
