Several hovercraft services between Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have been cancelled following a technical issue and bad weather conditions.

Hovertravel said its Island Flyer suffered a door failure at Southsea at 12:30 BST and passengers were "transferred to an alternative transport option".

The latest cancellations are the 17:00 service from Southsea and the 16:45 from Ryde, affecting people travelling to the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth.

The company said tickets for its cancelled services would be accepted on Wightlink Fast Cat services.
