The house in East Cleveland is subject to a three-month closure order

A house been closed by police after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Cleveland Police said it shut two "problem" houses in Ormesby and Nunthorpe early last week and another in Skelton, East Cleveland on Friday as part of Operation Artemis.

The address on Rievaulax Road had a number of reports against it, including drug use, noise nuisance, smashed windows and the presence of weapons, the force said.

The property is now subject to a three-month closure order.

Labour councillor Neil Bendelow, cabinet member for neighbourhoods at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council said going to the court and applying for a house closure "is always the last resort".

"However, in the end, we will do what it takes to protect decent people who simply want to feel safe and live in peace in their own communities," he said.
