Nicky Featherstone's last match as Hartlepool United manager ended in defeat as Boston United came from behind to claim a 3-1 win at The Jakemans Community Stadium.

Pools goalkeeper Adam Smith pulled off a superb save to deny Jordan Richards in the eighth minute, while Alex Reid was wasteful at the other end.

Defender Max Kouogun, who had forced a save from Louis Chadwick with a header in the first half, opened the scoring in the 65th minute when he powered home from Jamie Miley's corner.

However, Connor Teale's thumping drive in the 79th minute was followed four minutes later by a smart finish from Frankie Maguire, and they had a third shortly afterwards when substitute Tom Cursons turned the ball home.
