Boreham Wood ended the National League season with a 1-0 win at home to Sutton United to make it three victories in a row in preparation for the play-offs.

Leon Ayinde put the hosts ahead after 28 minutes, stealing the ball off the opposition before turning it into the net.

After coming on at half-time, substitute David Ogbonna came closest to equalising for Sutton but his shot came off the crossbar in the 56th minute.

However, Sutton could not find an equaliser and finished the campaign in 19th place, while Boreham Wood sit fourth and now face a play-off against Forest Green Rovers.
