Substitute Nelson Khumbeni scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time to earn Eastleigh a dramatic National League win over 10-man Hartlepool at Victoria Park.

Pools had to play practically the entire second half a man down after Neo Eccleston, booked in first-half stoppage time, was shown a second yellow within a minute of the restart.

Lee Clark's side were moments away from a battling point when on-loan Gillingham midfielder Khumbeni, introduced in the 86th minute, pounced to help Eastleigh claim a third win in four games.

The home side went close through Will Harris and Maxim Kouogun but suffered a second successive defeat.
