Harvey Broad netted a quickfire second-half double as Fylde beat Forest Green 2-0 at home in the National League.
The 20-year-old, signed on a season-long loan from Coventry, broke the deadlock in the 65th minute and doubled his tally three minutes later.
It helped Fylde bounce back from Saturday's dramatic 3-2 loss at Woking, who netted twice in the closing stages to snatch victory.
Forest Green, whose 100% start to the season was ended by Boreham Wood at the weekend, went close through James Berry and captain Kyle McAllister.
