Sheffield Wednesday climbed into second spot in League One with a 2-1 victory over Wycombe amid fiery scenes at Adams Park.
Cauley Woodrow, who had fired Wycombe in front, clashed with Owls players after conceding a penalty in the closing stages of first-half added time.
Jamal Lowe blasted home the spot-kick to put Wednesday ahead at the break, after Louie Barry had levelled, following a lively first half.
The game had exploded into life with two goals in the first 11 minutes.
In the sixth minute, Wednesday centre-back George Otegbayo headed into the path of home striker Woodrow, who sprinted towards goal and fired in a low shot.
The visitors levelled when Barry led a breakaway and set up Mason Burstow for a shot that Wanderers goalkeeper Conor Hazard could not hold and Barry, following up, scored from close range.
Lowe hit the bar with a defected shot minutes before scoring from the spot.
There was more controversy early in the second half when Malik Mothersille's goal for Wycombe was disallowed after hitting a Wanderers player on the arm before going into the net.
