Notts County came from behind to maintain their unbeaten start with a 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers.

Ollie Cooper's emphatic finish cancelled out Isaac Hutchinson's opener for Doncaster in an even contest.

County enjoyed the better of the early stages. Luka Smyth lashed an angled shot off the underside of the bar, before Neill Byrne made a huge block to deny Conor Grant after Tommy Simkin parried a strike from Smyth.

But it was Doncaster who took the lead on 36 minutes when Hutchinson slammed in from close range after the ball was tossed around the box.

Rovers made a bright start to the second period and Alfie May drew an excellent fingertip save from James Belshaw with a volley from the edge of the box.

County drew level on 64 minutes when Cooper met a Callum Roberts centre with a powerful first time finish from ten yards.

Belshaw clawed a header from May off the line as Doncaster showed the greater threat in search of the win, but there was to be no breakthrough.
