Tayt-Lemar Trusty struck a last-minute equaliser as Halifax twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at promotion-chasing Southend in the National League.

The Shrimpers went ahead in the 22nd minute through a penalty from Promise Omochere. Halifax were back on level terms 10 minutes later when Amari Morgan-Smith knocked home a rebound after Conor Carty's initial effort had been saved.

Southend looked to have grabbed a late winner with five minutes left when Omochere's close-range effort deflected in off defender Mackenzie Maltby for an own goal.

Halifax, though, fought back again to earn a point when Trusty fired in as Town extended their own unbeaten run to four league matches.
