That'll do Alex Paulsen's confidence a bit of good after that mistake.

    Rangers 1-0 Motherwell

A decent attack by Motherwell as Tawanda Maswanhise cuts inside after receiving a pass and shoots at goalkeeper Ivor Pandur.

That one just needed a bit more power and it could have been 1-1.

Moments later and Djeidi Gassama goes on a long and mazy run before his shot is deflected out. Good break from Rangers.

    Dundee United 0-1 Falkirk

Falkirk look very likely to increase their lead. More pressure from the away side as Ethan Ross strikes from distance and goalkeeper Jack Walton responds with a strong save.

    Rangers 1-0 Motherwell

    Ian McCall
Former Rangers player on BBC Sportsound

There wasn't any pressure whatsoever [on the Motherwell goalkeeper]. It was just a howler.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock have a couple of chances to open Aberdeen apart, but they fail to take advantage as Greg Kiltie flashes his driven effort just wide.

    An even start.

    Ryan Naderi

Oops! A terrible mistake by goalkeeper Alex Paulsen and Ryan Naderi scores for Rangers with what must be his first touch.

Rangers were dealt a blow with an early injury to Lawrence Shankland but his replacement has been handed a gift there.

Paulsen has the ball outside his box but takes a heavy touch with Naderi in close proximity and striker robs goalkeeper before passing into an empty net.

  10. Postpublished at 15:12 BST

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

Those early stoppages have done little for the excitement in this game. No real chances of note so far.

  11. Murrell wins Bairns criespublished at 15:10 BST

    Dundee United 0-1 Falkirk

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

"USA, USA, USA...." is the chant from the visiting supporters.

A first goal for the Bairns for new American striker Jacob Murrell in the opening minutes.

United will lament how he got a free header in the box from a corner.

Falkirk will not care a jot, they're ahead early. Just the start manager John McGlynn wanted after the disappointment of not picking anything up against Rangers in midweek

  12. Naderi on for Rangerspublished at 15:09 BST

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

Ryan Naderi enters the fray for Rangers, probably earlier than he or anyone else expected.

He replaces Lawrence Shankland in attack.

  13. Shankland off injuredpublished at 15:08 BST

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

Another stoppage at Ibrox. Rangers striker Lawrence Shankland seems to be struggling. Has he pulled something? It would seem so as he is coming off and he passes the captain's armband to Dan Neil.

    No substitute on as yet.

  15. Postpublished at 15:06 BST

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

There's a pause to proceedings at Ibrox. It appears to be some sort of communication issue among the officials.

It doesn't make great viewing for the supporters, but the Motherwell fans in the corner are certainly having fun.

    Back under way.

  16. goal

GOAL Dundee United 0-1 FALKIRKpublished at 15:05 BST

    Jacob Murrell

What a start for Falkirk. John McGlynn's visitors have started superbly.

A corner in front of the Tannadice tunnel, where the camera cuts to Jim Goodwin watching on from the boxes, and he sees striker Jacob Murrell towering at the front post to bullet a header in the back of the net.

  17. McInnes and McLeish in standpublished at 15:04 BST

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

Rangers manager Derek McInnes is up in the directors' box at Ibrox and, a couple of rows in front of him, is one of his predecessors, Alex McLeish.

  18. Postpublished at 15:04 BST

    Aberdeen 0-0 Kilmarnock

An early Aberdeen chance, as Stuart Armstrong is played into the box with a one-two. The midfielder is in a great position but opts to pull it back instead of shooting, and the ball is cleared.

Given Kilmarnock's bad habit of conceding early, it seemed certain Aberdeen were going to hit the front.

  19. Falkirk here in numberspublished at 15:03 BST

    Dundee United 0-0 Falkirk

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

There's a good-sized, and very noisy, travelling support away to my left. Falkirk only have a solitary point to show for their efforts so far this season in the Premiership, but their fans haven't lost heart.

There's a good turnout from the home support, too, many of whom are keen to get a look at their new Iraqi recruit, Zidane Iqbal, who's on the bench for the Tangerines after a summer at the World Cup in America with his country.
