Zan Vipotnik has scored 25 Swansea goals in all competitions this season
Norwich City's faint play-off hopes came to an end as they drew 1-1 with Swansea City in a game of two penalties.
Championship top-scorer Zan Vipotnik netted his 23rd league goal of the season – and his fourth spot-kick in five games – to put Swansea ahead early in the second period after he was fouled by Jose Cordoba.
Norwich levelled late on when Kenny McLean drilled home from the spot after Swansea goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux was adjudged to have fouled Mathias Kvistgaarden as he attempted to claim a cross.
The Canaries began the game knowing victory was required to keep their unlikely top-six bid alive.
Philippe Clement's in-form team had chances to seize control of the contest in the first period, with Mohamed Toure wasting the best opportunity when he shot too close to Vigouroux.
But Swansea edged in front having improved after the break and looked set for a battling away victory until McLean ensured Norwich avoided defeat in their final home fixture of the season.
A share of the points means Norwich stay ninth - and can no longer finish any higher in the table - while Swansea remain 11th.
Analysis: Little to play for - but both clubs would have taken that earlier in the season

Kenny McLean's goal was his third this season
Much has changed for both of these sides since Alan Sheehan's Swansea beat Liam Manning's Norwich in October.
Both clubs replaced their bosses the following month and both went on to ward off relegation concerns thanks to significant upturns in form.
Norwich's improvement has been particularly spectacular, with 17 wins in 27 league games before this one, but they needed two more victories – and several other results to go their way – to send a remarkable season into overtime.
They might have toppled a weary-looking Swansea had they broken through before the break, with Paris Maghoma also denied by Vigouroux after Toure mis-hit his big chance.
But having stayed in the contest, Swansea seized the initiative with Eom Ji-sung drawing a first save of the day from Vladan Kovacevic before his through ball led to the penalty as Cordoba placed an arm on Vipotnik's shoulder and the Slovenia international tumbled to the ground.
Vipotnik was typically cool as he sent Kovacevic the wrong way to edge closer to securing the Championship golden boot.
Norwich then saw a penalty appeal turned down when Cameron Burgess bundled into Toure, before referee Thomas Parsons pointed to the spot in debatable circumstances.
Although Burgess headed Ali Ahmed's cross clear, Vigouroux was penalised for his collision with Kvistgaarden and McLean deservedly levelled.
The draw means Norwich join Swansea in having little to play for on the final day - but both clubs would have taken that during difficult spells earlier in the season.
What they said
Norwich head coach Philippe Clement:
"The players did amazing stuff in the last couple of months. They showed they were playing for this badge.
"Today they went behind, you are disappointed, but they dug in and went for the equaliser and after they went for the second goal.
"We were the best team in the first half. We should have scored two or three.
"In the second half, from the side it looked a clear penalty on Toure but we don't get that one. They are massive decisions that go against us.
"But I am proud of what the team is showing in mentality and quality."
Swansea head coach Vitor Matos:
"We knew it would not be an easy game for us. Two away games in a row, the travelling was not short as you know.
"But then still coming here, being organised, pressing in the right moments, having the ball in the right moments.
"We could have broken the lines a little bit earlier and put Norwich a bit deeper - that would have allowed us to be more dangerous - but I am proud of the players because the effort is there and the desire is there."
Matos bemoans penalty decision - but salutes his team
