Emma Brownlie opened the scoring for City at Firhill

Glasgow City moved up to second in the SWPL with a comfortable victory against Partick Thistle at Firhill.

Leanne Ross' side hadn't won in their last four league games, but were on course to arrest that run in the first half as defender Emma Brownlie headed the visitors in front with a diving effort.

Their lead was doubled 20 minutes after the break, Linda Molthalo's cross diverted in by Thistle defender Addie Handley.

The win takes City above Rangers and to within two points of league leaders Hearts, who beat Leanne Crichton's side earlier.
