Another chance for the visitors but the finish by Harvey Barnes, from inside the D, sails over the bar. Nevertheless, Newcastle continue to show good attacking intent.

Fingers crossed for a high-scoring entertaining showdown.

Everton

Everton boss David Moyes, speaking to BBC MOTD: "I didn't think a goal was coming. We stuck at it, resilient, we were good away from last season so hopefully we can keep it going.

"We needed somebody to come up with something. We did some amazing blocks late in the game. Pleased with a point.

"Might want the transfer window left open so we can get a few more players in! It closes Tuesday, let's see what happens. I have said we could do with strengthening and hopefully we can do that.

"We have a good basis. Let's hope we can build on it.

"I don't think we can afford to lose any players, certainly not our better ones. The club dictates a lot of that and we will see how the next few days go."

Newcastle United

It's raining in north London as the two teams gather in the tunnel. It's not that heavy but there are Newcastle fans in the away end who have whipped off their shirts and are waving them in the air.

It's another seriously impressive Toon Army away following. Many of these fans won't get home until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bournemouth boss Marco Rose: "It was mostly about the result but as a coach you evaluate the performance as well and in most phases of the game it was really good.

"It was a quite open game, quite up and down. We can get better in some parts of the game. Today for me it was not even a set piece for the goal because we had already cleared the situation, but I don't want to blame anyone because I saw so many positive things.

"I am really thankful for the warm welcome and I really appreciate to be coach of this team. It was a really nice feeling to coach this game.

"Like last week we would like to present our fans with a win but we will have to wait one more week."

Omar Marmoush only completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, but it is not a surprise to see the striker thrown straight in this evening.

Remarkably, seven of the 16 goals Marmoush scored for Manchester City were against today's opponents Newcastle United, including a hat-trick on his debut for the club.

Newcastle won't need any reminding about the threat he carries. Nor will former team-mate Nico Gonzalez for that matter.

Gonzalez is also making his debut - for Newcastle - after finalising his move from Manchester City earlier this week.

The midfielder's ability to win the ball back will be crucial for the visitors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today.
