Warning services for areas at risk of flooding are provided for England, Wales and Scotland. BBC Weather works closely with its partners to raise awareness of weather events affecting Northern Ireland. Specific flood warnings, however, are not currently issued for Northern Ireland.

Flooding of low-lying areas and roads is possible. Groundwater levels are high but slowly declining at our Hodcott borehole affecting West Ilsley, East Ilsley, Compton, Chilton and West Hagbourne. Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling over the coming weeks in response to a period of more settled weather. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. Residents are advised to consider property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Keep up to date with groundwater levels on the 'Get Flood Warnings' site on gov.uk. This message will be updated by 4 PM, on the 28 April 2026, or as the situation changes.

Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling over the coming weeks in response to a period of more settled weather. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. We are closely monitoring rainfall and groundwater levels.
