He has umpired two Commonwealth Games finals, three World Cup finals, and 15 Super League finals - he certainly knows his stuff!

Three athletes down and Australia's Kate McDonald certainly seems happy after finishing her routine.
Her team-mate Georgia Godwin couldn't get close to Abi Martin's score but will McDonald?
Closer but not close enough, 12.933. The lesser difficulty meant she needed to be flawless. So England's Martin stays top on 13.333.
Boxing
Welsh boxer Connor Williams feels "destined for this" after securing at least a bronze in the 90kg boxing.
Williams beat Duken Holo Tutakitoa-Williams to progress to the semi-finals.
The 23-year-old is the first Welsh boxer to guarantee a podium finish in Glasgow.
He says his son Cass would be proud - but would likely try to eat the medal.

It's just under 20 minutes until Wales take on Trinidad and Tobago, and there are plenty of Welsh bucket hats on show at the Hydro.
After a disappointing opening two games for Wales, they'll be hoping to give these fans something to cheer about today.
Wales are currently fifth in Pool B, with Trinidad and Tobago in sixth. Both sides are still on the hunt for their first win here in Glasgow.

And some inside information ahead of Ruby Evans' final appearance at these games - be prepared to be 'wowed' by her sparkly leotard.
Apparently it won't be the traditional red, white or green of Wales. But sparkly. Definitely sparkly. Let's hope she sparkles on the floor. But we'll have to wait as she's the last competitor.

"But for it to be done and be able to properly celebrate the medals I've won this week is a great feeling.
"Going eighth, you know what you need to do. I knew if I hit the routine I can, I'd get a medal but it wasn't meant to be."

It doesn't get any easier for NI as they face Australia in their next game on Thursday.

Abi Martin and Shantae-Eve Amankwaah, who helped England to team bronze, go in this one.
Wales were the nation edged out for bronze in that team competition so Ruby Evans will be hoping to exact a bit of revenge. The 19-year-old won silver in this event at the 2025 World Championship, just ahead of Martin.

Not this time for Reuben Ward. He scores 13.166 and has to settle for fifth.
So it's another gold medal for Australia. Jesse Moore went up first, put up a superb routine and no one was able to match it.
Silver goes to Marios Georgiu of Cyprus and there's another medal for Canada's Felix Dolci, who takes bronze.

He has to use his hands to stop himself toppling forward and that leaves him with a score of 12.700.
With a better dismount, the Englishman might have sneaked into the medals.

There is just a suggestion that his right foot clipped the bar. Yep, there it is on the replay.
That is what costs him. The Englishman scores 13.033 and goes into fifth.

Felix Dolci is targeting a fourth gold medal of these Commonwealth Games.
The Canadian won the vault earlier this afternoon so it's a quick turnaround and perhaps that explains a couple of little errors in this routine.
And there will not be another gold for Dolci, he is into bronze medal position with a score of 13.300.

England's Sarah Davies Smale, a gold medallist in the 71kg category in 2022, took it to the limit by lifting 95kg with her third and final attempt and is in fourth place.
Charlotte Whalley (82kg) of Wales and Scotland's Beth Ashbee (85kg) are also through to the clean and jerk but Hannah Crymble from Northern Ireland is out.
Canada's Maude Charron leads on 102kg which is a new Commonwealth Games record.

Northern Ireland's fourth game in four days is really starting to catch up to them.
They scored just four goals in that third quarter as South Africa really pulled away.
They will want to keep the score down and look forward to a rest day tomorrow.

Canada's William Emard goes into bronze medal position with a score of 13.200.
After a couple of errors on the dismount early in the final, it's the start of his routine that costs him points.
A readjustment of his left hand right at the start put the Canadian on the back foot and despite a strong finish, he can't get past the top two.

Such a shame and the Welshman looks so disappointed. A score of 12.700 leaves him in third.
