Kian McMahon-Brown and Kevin Berkoe scored first-half goals as Shrewsbury Town return to winning ways in League Two with a 2-0 victory over Northampton Town.
Gavin Cowan's Shrews had lost back-to-back games without scoring, but McMahon-Brown took just eight minutes to find the target on his home debut as he rifled a strike beyond Zach Jeacock.
Josh Davison almost made it two when he flashed a long-range effort past the post.
Shrewsbury keeper Will Brook produced a good save to keep out Harvey Saunders on the half hour, while McMahon-Brown was denied a second when his volley hit the post.
Berkoe doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time when he pounced to poke home the rebound after Davison's header was saved.
Jeacock kept McMahon-Brown out with a low save at his near post after the hour.
With 10 minutes to go, Brook denied Owen Dale's strike as the Cobblers' wait for an away win this season goes on.
