Newcastle's marking is so poor and when the ball lands at the feet of Marcus Tavernier, the Bournemouth player has time and space to shoot.
It's a poor attempt, however, lacking power and Lukas Hornícek is able to save comfortably.

Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle was almost on the field at one stage bellowing at Harvey Barnes to get down the left-hand side of the pitch. He then roars "Yes! Yes!" as Joe Willock wins a duel a minute later.
Bournemouth manager Marco Rose, by contrast, has been a little quieter on the touchline and he will be very happy with the visitors' start. His side are knowing when to speed it up and when to slow it down.

Newcastle were lucky to draw their first game and also very fortunate at Tottenham as Spurs were the better team. Could it be their luck runs out today? I expect a comfortable Bournemouth victory.

What is the point in VAR? A clear foul on Elanga in the build-up with the defender wrapping his arms around and dragging him back. However, Newcastle should still have defended the chance better.

It's a great effort from that right hand side. It falls nicely for Tavernier but it is about him reacting first.
A little bit of luck but he still has to finish it.
