• Alvaro Arbeloa says Alex Iwobi, Emile Smith Rowe and Kevin were all "positive" in training this week despite their recent social media activity.
• Ahead of Sunday's Manchester Derby, Enzo Maresca said Elliot Anderson was fair to call their side the "kings" of the city.
• In the other half of Manchester, Michael Carrick says there "is a lot riding" on Sunday's match at Old Trafford.
• Did Everton boss David Moyes hint that Jack Grealish could be starting in their match against Tottenham?
• Xabi Alonso spoke about the"important role" Cole Palmer played in the signing of Morgan Rogers.
• Andoni Iraola says he is "very happy" to have Alexis Mac Allister in his team after the Argentine made headlines earlier in the week
• Roberto De Zerbi gave the latest on Richarlison, who is in dispute with Tottenham over his contract.

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town boss Gary O'Neil was delighted to have midfielder Azor Matusiwa and left-winger Jaden Philogene, who both played a huge role in helping the Blues win promotion last season, available for the first time in 2026-27.

"We've had a tough pre-season, some tough games, a cup game in the middle, so to go to Crystal Palace with basically a fully fit squad is a testament to the work that's been done by the players to get themselves in good shape and by the medical and fitness team," added O'Neil.

Ipswich signed Brazilian striker Emersonn in the summer, with the 22-year-old scoring on his competitive debut against Sunderland in Town's Premier League opener. "Emmy's really impressed me," said O'Neil. "I expected Emmy to take a while to get going, especially at Premier League level. He's done exceptionally well."

On Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, O'Neil says: "An unbelievable talent, a fantastic passer of the ball. He'll be part of what we need to deal with. You don't win a European competition without having good players."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on Igor Thiago and his goal productivity: "If I'd seen any dip in his endeavours, his enthusiasm or his general way of being - the positivity in which he comes in [with] then I'd be slightly worried - I haven't sensed that in the slightest since the second he came back after the World Cup into pre-season training.

"He's been nothing but amazing throughout that whole time, throughout my whole time at the club, in particular as head coach.

"The goals will come, I've no doubt about that. I'm not worried about that and he's performing to a really high level for us. You're right to allude to it, it’s not just the goals, I think all of his teammates would be quick to remind everybody of that - the role he plays in our team is huge and the goals are obviously a part of it but they’ll come for sure."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on reports suggesting the club has opened talks with Kevin Schade about a contract extension: "I'm not entirely sure where those conversations are exactly but from my point of view, it's not something I overly get involved in, the dealings of it... it's just very much 'I would like to keep Kevin at the club'.

"I think everybody can see how well he has started the season. He's been very, very focused, has come back in a really good place and I think he's playing the best football, certainly since I’ve been in charge. He’s a really important part of the group."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on team news: "He [Nathan Collins] won’t be involved this side of the international break unfortunately. He's picked up a calf injury, he probably felt it a little bit earlier in the game [against Sunderland], tried to play through it naturally like he would, [with] the type of character he is, one of our leaders and our captain. Unfortunately Nathan won’t be available.

"He [Mathias Jensen] is doing well, won’t be involved tomorrow, realistically won’t be involved next weekend I don’t think. We’ll see how he goes next week but certainly not for tomorrow."

Aston Villa

Unai Emery: “We have young players with huge potential. Someone who is showing it already is George Hemmings. Of course, he needs more and more, but he is performing at the level more or less we want.

“The standard we are setting last year and this year, the players will get it. This is the confidence I have”

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, when asked if he is seeing progress in his side outside of matchdays: “Yes, but obviously we are not showing it on the field playing games. It’s not true that everything we can tell about our training sessions, but the training sessions are the way to try to get our best on the field playing matches.

“Everything we are working [on], tomorrow it will be on the pitch. Of course, we are starting to play during the week, three matches a week, this is the process where you’re not training so much and you must rest and try to adapt the new players in training work.

“We’re in this process but it’s necessary to show tomorrow how we’re improving”

Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, on facing Forest tomorrow: “Nottingham Forest and us, we know each other so well because we’ve played a lot of times in the Premier League and last year in the Europa League.

“The new coach is trying to settle as well, his structure and his idea and his coaching is fantastic. He did brilliantly at Crystal Palace and before in Germany, he is a successful coach and very, very competitive. We always struggle playing against Glasner.

“So tomorrow I am expecting a very difficult match, 90 minutes playing consistently from our gameplan and resiliency when we need it, and trying to improve things, adapt to them and compete in the way we need. While respecting Nottingham Forest as a club and a team and respecting so much his coaching.”

Tottenham Hotspur

On Richarlison's future, Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "I don't know. It's not my job.

"What l can say, is that I know very well what the club has done for Richarlison, and very well what Richarlison has done for the club in the last two months.

"I know, he knows, the club knows, his agent knows. Everyone knows, better than you [the media]. Much better."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi on searching for the first win of the season: "We are better than last season.

"We are not winning and we are not scoring, but I am positive because I believe in my players and this group.

"The players have big qualities and potential. We are working well.

"I am not happy because I suffer from defeats and when we don't score, but I am experienced enough to see improvement."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi started his news conference by giving an update on team fitness.

James Maddison is available to face Everton and Mohammed Kudus is "very close to being ready to start the game."

On Dejan Kulusevski, who is continuing his recovery from a complicated knee injury: "He has not been working with us in the last week. Not a big problem. The normal problem when a player is out for a long time."

On Mykhailo Mudryk, who has picked up an ankle injury in training: "It's a stupid injury. We need him back as soon as possible. For him, he's suffered too much, and for us because he's an important player for us."

Tottenham and their Brazil forward Richarlison are in dispute over the remaining nine months on his contract.

Richarlison, whose proposed deadline day move to Everton broke down, is understood to be exploring his options with sources indicting the 29-year-old is keen to be released from the remainder of his deal.

Talks between the club and player's representatives are ongoing to find a resolution but it is believed the matter has escalated in recent days.

While Richarlison is eager to reach an agreement with Tottenham which would allow him to walk away from the club for nothing, Spurs are not considering that option as realistic.

To complicate matters, Spurs have a 12-month option to extend Richarlison's contract until the end of next season.

Spurs are unwilling to negotiate a settlement with Richarlison over the rest of his deal.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace ended a nine-game winless run in the Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Fulham last time out.

They last won successive league matches in December 2025.

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town manager Gary O’Neil says everyone is back in full training apart from midfielder Jack Taylor.

Midfielder Azor Matusiwa and left winger Jaden Philogene, both yet to play a minute this season, are back training with the main group.

O’Neil says Philogene, who scored 13 goals for the Blues in all competitions last season, is ready to start at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace, but Matusiwa is likely to only be among the substitutes.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso was asked about the friendship between the Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers: "I would say [it helps] a lot. Even before they were playing together they were so connected.

"We were following this connection for a few weeks before the transfer happened and Cole was very influential. He played an important role, Morgan as well. We are happy that this happened now."

He was asked if he ever had influence on a signing like Palmer did: "Probably, but not as much as Cole!"

Chelsea

Chelsea are looking to win three successive Premier League games at Stamford Bridge for the first time since their final three of the 2024-25 campaign.

Chelsea

Just moments before Pedro Neto's new deal with Chelsea was announced, manager Xabi Alonso was asked about the Portugal international: "For me, he is a winger. You can call him a winger or wing-back because he has many qualities. He can play on the last line and defend on the first line. He has this capacity to do many things. He is good in one on ones, he is scoring goals and has a fantastic work rate. He connects very well with players around him.

"I knew him very well from watching many Chelsea games and with him you know he is going to compete. You want this guy in your team. I am very happy with Pedro and the work he is doing."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, asked about a potential change in ownership structure at Stamford Bridge: "I'm not the guy to give you information about those things. Nothing I have and not my knowledge. I'm working fine, I'm very happy with how we have started and how we are working together aligned and this is all I can say at the moment."
