Birmingham City have completed the deadline day loan signing of winger Liam Millar from Hull City for the remainder of the season.

Millar, 26, leaves the Tigers just days after scoring the only goal in their Premier League victory over Coventry City on Saturday, and he becomes Blues' seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

The Canada international, who has also had spells with Kilmarnock, Charlton, Basel and Preston, departs the MKM Stadium with only a year remaining on his current Hull contract.

"Liam is a proven Championship performer who has significant experience at this level," said Birmingham boss Chris Davies.

"It was an area of the pitch where we wanted to strengthen, and Liam fits the profile we were looking for.

"He has shown consistently that he can perform in the Championship and contribute to successful teams, and he also has a wealth of experience from his international career.

"He's had a really strong start to this season as well, so he comes here in good form and with a real appetite to want to come and play for Birmingham City.

"We're delighted to have him on board and are looking forward to working with him."

Millar was pictured at St Andrew's on Tuesday night before Birmingham's Championship meeting with Southampton, and he is expected to be available for selection on Sunday when Blues host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
