The death toll in Venezuela has risen to at least 1,450, as top lawmaker Jorge Rodríguez says the country is now in "critical hours" to save lives.
The number is expected to keep rising, with tens of thousands still believed to be missing.

Another woman, when asked about the response of the state, says: "I don't like to make comments that I know might have consequences later."
