1976: Kid's show Multi-Coloured Swap Shop first airs

"Any offers for a Monopoly?..."

Multi-Coloured Swap Shop began in October 1976, bringing competitions, cartoons and celebrity interviews to Saturday morning telly. But the heart of the show was Keith Chegwin's 'Swaporama' outside broadcasts, where kids around the country could swap games, toys, books and records with each other.
