We all know Serena Williams is the star of the show today, but what a moment for Victoria Mboko.

When she was born in 2006, Williams had already won seven Grand Slam singles titles.

The 19-year-old - 25 years Williams' junior - has described the tennis great as her "idol".

"It was so fun. I had so much fun playing with Victoria. She was really able to hold up the team and play big on the big points. I could rely on her. We have never played together but it felt so natural.

"I don't know. I had nothing better to do, I got tired of sitting at home. My kids are out of school for the summer, so why not?

"I never got to play here, it was always just the men. It feels really special to play somewhere so iconic."

Trouble here for Erin Routliffe, who falters on serve and will have to face two break points.

Serena Williams sends a forehand wide on the first, but it looks like she's taken the second!

There'll be a video review, requested by Nicole Melichar-Martinez, who was penalised for the ball touching her hand.

Victoria Mboko did briliantly to wrest control of a rally from the baseline before Williams pounced at the net, hitting Melichar-Martinez.

The review does appear to show the ball coming off the American's hand... but the original call is upheld after the review proves inconclusive. Drama!
