Parry Thomas inducted into Welsh Sports Hall of Fame
On 27 April 1926, John Parry Thomas broke the world land-speed record in his car 'BABS' on Pendine Sands in west Wales.
One year later tragedy struck, when he died during an attempt to reclaim the record.
Now, 100 years later, the car has been restored to drive across the Carmarthen Bay beach once again while Parry Thomas is to be inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame.
