Arsenal are aiming to equal their club record unbeaten run today.

They have not lost in 18 matches. Their record is 19 undefeated between August 2011 and October 2012.

I'm trying to watch what Crystal Palace are doing defensively. They look to be outnumbered on the far side but it's taken far too long for them to adjust.

Tottenham are the ones leading but they are not happy at all and Martin Ho has spent most of the first half shouting in frustration.

They have been second best for most of the match but had a bit of luck and took advantage. I would expect Ho to make changes though.

Liverpool, in contrast, have played very well but haven't done enough to capitalise on that.

Gareth Taylor was understandably frustrated at the half-time whistle but his message will surely be 'more of the same'.

That was a beautiful effort, Mariona Caldentey just hung back waiting for it to drop down again. Most players would've tried to smash that, she just waited to try and gift it back. Lucky for Crystal Palace she didn't get that one.

Palace won on their WSL return last weekend, 1-0 versus Everton - but the game has been overshadowed by controversy after they used four substitution windows rather than the permitted three.

The WSL investigation is ongoing, and manager Jo Potter insisted before kick off that the players have not been distracted by the issue this week.

Certainly they have enough to think about dealing with Arsenal today.

As might be expected, the early stages of this game have been almost exclusively played in the Palace half.

And Arsenal are so close to the lead, as Mariona Caldentey loops an effort from the edge of the box that strikes the crossbar and bounces away.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Jo Potter: "It's always a testing one, the first one back in the Super League, to see where you're at. I thought we showed up fantastically, great for the three points in the end."

Arsenal

Arsenal boss Renee Slegers: "It's only round two, we'll see when things settle, all we can focus on is us. It's the first game back at the Emirates, excited to share it with the fans. Crystal Palace had a good result in their first game, they'll try and make it difficult and compact."

Liverpool will feel unlucky to be behind at the break. They've been the better side but Sam Kerr's own goal puts the visitors in front.

Arsenal have won their last four games against Palace, scoring 20 goals without reply.

Only way is up for the Eagles.

Alessia Russo with an early chance as she turns away from her marker, but her shot is straight at former Arsenal goalie Pauline Peyraud-Magnin.

Brighton will feel hard done by to be trailing, especially after a couple of debatable refereeing decsions.

But Birmingham took their chance and are 45 minutes towards a first WSL win in four years.

Well, there is no stoppage time at the end of the first half.

Ashleigh Neville came closest with a speculative effort from distance. Apart from that, very little else has happened of note in either final third.

It's still very quiet at Goodison.

Neither side have managed a shot on target yet as we near first-half stoppage time.

The dangerous Oceane Hurtre comes very close to her second goal, whizzing a left footed shot from 20 yards just past the post.

That looked for a second like it was flying into the top corner.

Tottenham don't care how they score and they will know that came against the run of play.

Signe Gaupset does well down the left and Sam Kerr is unlucky with the deflection. Khiara Keating couldn't do anything about it either.

It's a sucker-punch for the hosts, who have been much the better side.

Players are out on the pitch at Emirates Stadium.

Game five of six today will shortly be under way.

Brighton have had seven corners in this first half, and have aimed pretty much all of them right into the six yard box to try and pressurise the Birmingham defence.

They have not taken advantage of any of them yet, which is pretty wasteful.
