Bruno Fernandes played a pivotal role in Manchester United's third-placed finish last season.
The Portuguese produced a record 21 Premier League assists as his side secured Champions League football.
Fernandes broke the record of 20 assists held by Kevin De Bruyne (2019-20) and Thierry Henry (2002-03).
He started 35 league matches and scored nine goals, one behind Matheus Cunha and two behind Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko who finished the campaign as Man Utd's joint-top goalscorers.
As a result, he is favourite to be crowned PFA Player of the Year for 2025-26 in Manchester next week.

Manchester United fans, is there any fee Galatasaray could offer that would make sense for United to sell Bruno Fernandes this summer?
After all, the Portugal international is 31 and has less than a year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford...

BBC Sport Manchester United reporter
Manchester United intend to reject any offer for Bruno Fernandes before next month's transfer deadline.
BBC Sport was told last week that Turkish club Galatasaray, plus Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan, were considering whether to test United's resolve to keep their captain.
It is thought Galatasaray had a deal they were intending to put to United, which would reach a final fee of 50m euros (£42.7m).
However, the message from senior sources at Old Trafford is that Galatasaray would be wasting their time.
Although last summer they told Fernandes it was his call whether to accept the mammoth offer put to him by Saudi Pro-League outfit Al-Hilal, with the Portuguese later admitting he felt "hurt" by that stance, this time around United have made their position clear.
Club sources say, as yet, there have been no bids for the 31-year-old, but add that he is not for sale at any price.
Image source, Getty ImagesEven though Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has called for more signings to arrive at Old Trafford before the transfer window slams shut, he could face a battle to keep hold of one of his key players.
Reports this week claim Galatasaray are prepared to double Bruno Fernandes' wages to tempt him to move to Turkey.
Sources at United have told BBC Sport that Fernandes is not for sale at any price this summer.

Manchester United need to sign Lewis Hall. Our starting left back was at the 2014 World Cup! The ideal scenario should be throw the kitchen sink at Hall and Alex Scott, but that’s not what INEOS do.
Ben, Bristol
Speaking of Manchester United.....
Head Coach Michael Carrick is determined to keep pushing to improve his squad this summer.
"We want more, we need more, we keep looking for how we can do that," he said.
"Money's money, I get that. We feel like we have to be pushing for everything we're involved in, while being realistic of what the recent history's looked like over a period of time."
Carrick says he is delighted with United's business so far – they have spent £83m to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, with the out-of-contract Karl Darlow also joining as back-up goalkeeper.
However, with weaknesses at left-back and in central midfield, as they prepare for a return to the Champions League after a two-year absence, Carrick knows the work cannot stop now.
Because in a summer where his club missed out on key targets such as Elliot Anderson and Matheus Fernandes because they refused to match rival offers and are spending less than newly promoted Ipswich and Coventry, Carrick knows more transfer business needs to be done despite a desire to avoid the costly mistakes of the past.
"For now, we've got to make the most of it, but we've got to push every boundary we can to be able to win again, basically. That's the challenge."
Left-back Lewis Hall has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
Losing Hall, 21, would be a blow for Newcastle after the high-profile exits of former captain Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon.
However, new signing Amar Dedic is a full-back capable of playing on both sides, though predominantly a right-back.
Could Dedic be a potential replacement if Hall does leave St James' Park?
Image source, Getty ImagesThat is a very good question, Simon, and one we've actually just been pondering ourselves...

Does the signing of Dedic affect Manchester United’s chances of signing Hall I wonder?

It's been a busy summer so far for Newcastle....Bazoumana Toure (Hoffenheim) - £43m
Aladji Bamba (Monaco) - £34m
Amar Dedic (Benfica) - £30m
Lukas Hornicek (Braga) - £25.7m
Sean Steur (Ajax) - £23m
Ewen Jaouen (Stade de Reims) - £18.5m
Since Kieran Trippier's departure, Newcastle have been searching for a new right-back.
Now that Amar Dedic has signed, he could be set for a very swift introduction to the Premier League.
With Tino Livramento still recovering from the calf injury he sustained on international duty with England in June, Dedic may be in line to make his full debut during Newcastle's season opener at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
Manager Matthias Jaissle will likely provide an update on the situation during his news conference on Friday.

Good signing for Newcastle, but we need to keep the momentum going. We still need a winger and a central midfielder at the very least. Why are we not trying to bring Leon Goretzka in?!!

Dedic has already experienced what it is like to play at St James' Park.
The defender was part of the Benfica side thumped 3-0 by Newcastle in the Champions League last season, so he will be hoping for a much happier experience if he lines up against Liverpool on Sunday.
Dedic is one of Newcastle's oldest signings this summer – which is saying something – and only the second over the age of 20, alongside goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek.
The defender has never played in the Premier League before and, like all of Newcastle's six arrivals, he will need time to adapt to the intensity and physicality of the top-flight.
But Newcastle sporting director Ross Wilson has already noted how Dedic "incredibly hungry" to prove himself.
Dedic, crucially, already knows what Jaissle demands and expects from his full-backs, so it is likely the head coach will not think twice about throwing him in at the weekend, even after just a handful of training sessions with his new team-mates.
He certainly has the engine to get up and down the pitch.
Although Dedic only made 24 appearances in Portugal's Primeira Liga last season, he ranked second for full-backs for carries into the attacking third (49) and third for progressive carries (202) and total carries (325).
His ability to also offer cover at left-back will be invaluable, but Newcastle clearly need further reinforcements before the window shuts on 1 September.

Not so sure about Dedic but time will tell. We had similar in Krafth and let him go. We need an experienced midfield general

Image source, Getty ImagesAmar Dedic joined Portuguese side Benfica in 2025 and spent a season at the club before joining Newcastle.
He was in the squad that faced Newcastle in the Champions League at St James' Park.
He joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2019, from the club's academy and played for the feeder club Liefering, where he first worked with Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle.
He spent time on loan at Wolfsberger and Marseille before he joined Benfica on a permanent deal.
Although he was born in Austria, the 24-year-old plays for the Bosnia-Herzegovina international team.
He has won 31 international caps for Bosnia, including three at this summer's FIFA World Cup.
Newcastle United sporting director, Ross Wilson, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Amar to Newcastle United. He's a player Matthias knows really well and one we all think very highly of - we see him as a player who strengthens our squad straightaway, capable of performing on the right and on the left.
"He's shown his level at Red Bull Salzburg and Benfica as a modern full-back who has the ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch. He's incredibly hungry to prove himself here at Newcastle United and in the Premier League."
Newcastle United head coach, Matthias Jaissle, said: "I'm really happy to add Amar to our squad. He's a player who I know really well, having worked with him from a young age in Austria and followed his career since.
"He will bring both defensive and attacking qualities to our squad, which suits the style of football that we want to play. He's athletic, aggressive and technically very good, but also has a lot of potential to develop further.
"Amar is still young but already has a lot of valuable experience - he's played in the Champions League and the World Cup, as well as representing huge clubs in Austria, France and Portugal. I'm really looking forward to working with him again."
