I was quite disappointed in the way that Bayern started the game. It's difficult because you are facing one of the best teams in the world but they were so reserved. They weren't really offering anything in attack and they were playing scared.

After they conceded I thought, 'here we go again', but towards the end of the half, that is the Bayern we have seen all season.

It probably won't come as much of a surprise that Patri Guijarro attempted (71) and completed (62) passes in the first half, more than any other player.

The most important of those passes found the underlapping run of Esmee Brugts, who crossed for Ewa Pajor to score.

That's it for the first half.

Barcelona dominated possession and lead through Ewa Pajor's early finish, but Bayern Munich will feel they edged that half.

The hosts created better chances than Barca but couldn't make them count.

You are noticing that when Bayern are getting into the final third they have a lot more bodies up suporting the play.

Barcelona can turn the screw in an instant - Claudia Pina looks to do just that, but Franziska Kett does well to clear her dangerous cross.

Now it's Barcelona's turn to play on the counter-attack - Caroline Graham Hansen puts a cross to the far post, but Claudia Pina can't quite reach it.

Franziska Kett cuts in from the left and looks to curl a shot into the far corner, but Cata Coll is at full stretch to parry wide.

Bayern are pushing hard for an equaliser.

Bayern enjoy a spell of possession with Linda Dallmann looking to make inroads down the right flank.

The hosts are looking pretty comfortable on the ball after spending much of the half waiting for Barcelona to give them a touch.

If I was Bayern, I'd be looking at how easily Guijarro is able to get on the ball and play passes from the middle. There needs to be someone screening her.

Franziska Kett drives down the Bayern left and drills a low shot towards the bottom corner, but Cata Coll is equal to it.

Pernille Harder isn't happy - she wanted Kett to find her in the box.

I suppose she is one of the finest strikers to ever play the game.

I don't think we'll see the same game as we saw when they met earlier in the season.

The Bayern manager and players have all said they learned a lot from the 7-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Barcelona left-back Esmee Brugts cuts in from the left, but can't find a way through so tries a shot from the edge of the box.

It takes a nick and Ena Mahmutovic in the Bayern goal easily gathers.

The hosts will be happy if they can limit Barca to pot-shots.

Pernille Harder and Momoko Tanikawa combine on the left before the former looks to cut the ball across the box.

There are Bayern penalty appeals as the ball hits Barcelona defender Ona Batlle and deflects up onto the hand of Irene Paredes, but the referee isn't interested.

That would have been a harsh call.

With two goals and three assists in the previous round against Real Madrid, Barcelona’s Alexia Putellas became the first player on record (since 2021-22) to record both more than five goals (six) and more than five assists (six) in a Women’s Champions League campaign.

However, she hasn’t netted in her last five semi-final appearances since a brace against German side Wolfsburg in the 2021-22 first leg.

They can't, and defender Vanessa Gilles goes down requiring treatment.

Replays show that Barcelona goalkeeper Cata Coll came for the ball, got nowhere near it, and instead clattered Gilles in the head.

She's a bit lucky to get away with that.
