Will we ever see Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury step into the same ring? It's looking that way.

We might be closer than ever to realising that dream but here is Eddie Hearn discussing the problem around the promotion side of things.

Eddie Hearn speaking after Anthony Joshua's victory: "No one can imagine what he has been through in the last seven months. During the first round, I was thinking, 'we came back too soon'.

"I feel like boxing once saved him and I feel like he needed boxing to help him get through this. That camp allowed him to focus while he was facing so much grief and pain. You don't know what he was going through in camp because he is a strong man and he likes to deal with his problems on his own - I'm not saying that is the right way but that is his way to do it. To even be in the ring tonight was astonishing."

Anthony Joshua, speaking about the difficulties of the last seven months: "It has been tough. That's my brothers. I don't want to talk about it."

Boxing coach Dave Coldwell on X: "Joshua is without a doubt shot to bits. Punch resistance looks completely gone. Last thing a fighter loses is his punch and that’s what got him out of jail tonight."

Anthony Joshua, speaking after victory: "He [Prenga] gave me a good test but this is what champions do, we rise. We get knocked down and stand up. That is life, that is life's motto."

On the knockout: "It's more than punch power. That was spirit. That was Latz and Sina. That was the family. You know what I mean? That hurts even talking about it."

What a circus this has been...

Back in April, Tyson Fury returned from retirement to take a points victory against Arslanbek Makhmudov. Who was there ringside? Anthony Joshua.

Fury invited Joshua into the ring to face-off after Turki Al-Sheikh announced the 'Battle of Britain' but Joshua declined.

After wins from both of them yesterday and today, surely it's time.

Oleksandr Usyk has shared what he thinks the differences are between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. Two men he has beaten twice.

Usyk said: "AJ is more of a classy boxer. He has good school boxing and is an Olympic champion. Tyson also has good school boxing but it is like street boxing.

"Tyson is very crazy, it doesn't matter about psychology - he is just crazy. It's a show but I know it's like a plan."

Anthony Joshua on how hurt he was after getting knocked down in the first round: "I'm still here talking to you.

"He's a strong guy and I think Eddie wants to sign him now! He is going to do well and he has a bright future. Maybe with a bit more experience, he will be up there with the rest of us. He is strong and durable."

Jake Paul on X: "Happy for Joshua with that win after all he’s been through. Remembering Sina and Latz with this one."

As much as I want to say it's on, as much as I want to say we can move on to Tyson Fury, I think we need to look at that first round and look at how easily AJ was hurt. We can't just skip past that.

Let's just be a little bit realistic here. If there was any fighter inside the top 100 in the ring with Joshua tonight, we would be reading and running over the end of his career.

As much as I like him, that was disturbing.

Anthony Joshua, speaking after victory: "Hold on, wait a minute. Have we got Tyson Fury in the room? Is he here or not?

"I am the meanest, most vicious champion. Nobody can stop me. He is no Oleksandr [Usyk].

"All jokes aside, there are two sides. One is the fighter and the other is respect. I respect everything he has done and everything that he has achieved, but as a fighting person, we're here now. I hope the fans will be in for a lovely treat."
