Highland Girl
Donald Macleod and Sally Beamish reminisce on swapping London life for rural Scotland.
Donald Macleod joins Sally Beamish at her home on the south coast to discuss the life-changing move that took her from London to rural Scotland. With family, landscape and community opening up new creative possibilities, Beamish embraced a distinctly Scottish musical world while developing her own compositional voice. Folk traditions, pibroch, theatre and collaboration all became central to her work during a transformative creative period.
