Peer mediation: How pupils help others to solve conflict

There's lots of things that are great about seeing your friends at school. But sometimes, friends can fall out, and it can be hard to know how to sort it.

So Nina went to visit one primary school to find out all about how they're training pupils to help solve disagreements between other children, sometimes called their peers.

It's called peer mediation, and it's a method of resolving conflict that was first introduced in some UK schools forty years ago.

It usually involves older children helping - or mediating - younger peers.

Around 250 schools are now running peer mediation projects in the UK, with numbers growing as charities help teachers to train pupils up.
