Happy birthday Cinnamon! Zoo throws party for famous capybara

Cinnamon escaped her zoo enclosure two years ago

You might recognise this mischievous capybara...

Cinnamon became world famous after escaping from a zoo in 2024.

She spent a week "living her best life" and celebrated her first birthday on the run before zoo staff brought her home.

Her adventures sparked world-wide news coverage and her story even became the theme of a children's book.

So of course, this celebrity capybara needs a big deal made of her birthday.

Do you think Cinnamon looks excited about her birthday? At least she's celebrating with a friend

Hoo Zoo, which is in England and is where Cinnamon lives, said it has got "some nice birthday treats" for one of its "most loved residents".

It has invited visitors to enjoy birthday-themed activities and the zoo's owner said that they'll probably get people to sing happy birthday to her.

But how does Cinnamon feel about it all?

Well, the zoo's owner said that "knowing her she'll be the other end of the field and [have] absolutely zero interest in people".

"Half the time you look at her and she's a bit of a diva and she just sort of turns her back to you."
