Who were the winners at Pokémon's biggest battle?

The PokémonXP and 2026 Pokémon World Championships took place in San Francisco in the US at the weekend.

Trainers from across the globe attended the event to battle it out to win and we were treated to loads of new announcements.

So who won and what's the latest big news from Pokémon?

Read on to find out what happened at the epic competition!

What's the big news from PokemonXP?

Well, there were LOTS of announcements but here's just some of them:

  • Pokémon: Wild Card, a new animated movie, was announced for release beginning in 2027. The story follows an aspiring Pokémon Trading Card Game player and Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokémon

  • Fans were treated to an exclusive tease of five new Lego Pokémon creatures coming in 2027

  • The world's largest-ever Lego Pokémon builds were unveiled - Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise were made using 393,000 plastic bricks. The towering models took 1,856 hours, which is 77 days, to complete!

  • For the first time in Pokémon GO, eligible Mega-Evolved Pokémon will gain access to a third Charged Attack

  • Armored Mewtwo will be making its return to Pokémon GO soon

  • Morpeko, Toxtricity, Jolteon and Flareon were announced as the latest playable Pokémon coming soon to Pokémon UNITE.

Trading Card Game Senior Division:

Pokémon GO:
