Quote MessageYear 8 at Oxclose Academy are excited to be part of today’s Live Lesson. We began the session by exploring the invisible gas carbon dioxide using a vinegar and bicarbonate of soda experiment, inflating a balloon and test tube to make the invisible visible. This helped students reflect on how unseen gases can have a powerful impact on our planet. We discussed how gases released by our everyday actions, even though we can’t see them, contribute significantly to climate change. Our students are already reflecting thoughtfully on what they can do to help fight climate change. A special shout out to Erin, Chloe, Chloe, and Imogen who have all engaged brilliantly so far.

Quote MessageAt Aldersbrook Primary School we have a whole school competition where children bring in a decorated plant pot with a plant. The winners (3 from each year group) will have their pot and plant put into our phone box that has turned into a greenhouse. The whole school is also taking part in activities to learn that their actions could help support reducing the carbon footprints. They will be making earth paper plates, door hangers with reminders and a taking part in a VR workshop.
